Caring around the clock…

As we welcomed the New Year and celebrations were taking place across Hampshire, there were also many people who were working hard to ensure the safety and care of the local community.

The Rowans Hospice at Home team care for those who prefer to be in the comfort of their home when receiving end of life care. Our Hospice at Home service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week so that our patients get to remain in familiar surroundings, supported by loved ones and the team during these crucial moments.

Our Hospice at Home team is made up of a group of incredible nurses with both day and night shifts to care for the community. On New Year’s Eve, three of the Hospice at Home night team were delighted to be invited by Cosham Fire Station to recognise the work that both services carry out.  Our nurses met with the exceptional firefighters at the Cosham Fire Station who were on call all night in case of an emergency. We are so grateful to be surrounded by such a supportive community.
