Whether you are recently bereaved or were bereaved a while ago, Giving in memory can be a positive way of celebrating and remembering the life of someone special, and in doing so, raising much-needed funds for local Hospice care.
The Charity is very privileged to be chosen and remembered by our community in this special way.
Rowans Hospice provides free care and support to patients, carers and the bereaved, living in Portsmouth and South-East Hampshire, through services provided within the Hospice, through Rowans Living Well Centre and to people in their own homes.
If you wish to donate in memory of someone, find out more below about how you can support in a way that reflects your and your loved one’s wishes.
We are able to supply collection tins and donation envelopes for funerals and memorials. Many people request donations in memory of a loved one instead of (or in addition to) having flowers.
Signing up as a Regular Giver is an easy way to continuously support the Charity and local Hospice care. Join our loyal community of supporters and make a difference all year round.
Create a free online Tribute Page to continue your loved one’s story: Tribute Pages are an online memorial that allow you, your family and friends to remember your loved one by sharing memories, photos and lighting candles. You can also make donations via the tribute. Your tribute is there throughout the year for you to reflect on days that are meaningful to you.
Add a personal dedication to our online wall of memories with a message, photo and optional donation.
Each December, you have the opportunity to remember loved ones by dedicating a light on our virtual and real-life tree, or take part in our magical Lake of Lights event in Southsea.
There are many opportunities to remember and celebrate the lives of loved ones who are no longer with us.
Leaving a gift in your Will to Rowans Hospice in memory of your loved will create a lasting legacy, ensuring people who need our services will receive the same quality care your love one did.
On days that are special to you, remember special ones who are no longer with us. Ask family and friends to make a donation at your wedding, anniversary or birthday party.
Sorting through the belongings of a loved one can be challenging. Any clothes, shoes, books or furniture items will be gratefully accepted by our Retail shops. We also offer a dedicated furniture collection service.
We appreciate that supporting the Charity in memory of a loved one is individual to everyone. If you have any questions or would like any advice or support on giving in memory, please contact via info@rowanshospice.co.uk and a member of our friendly team will get in touch with you shortly.
