Light up a Life
When someone we love is no longer with us, certain times of the year can feel particularly difficult. Winter can bring quieter moments when we find ourselves thinking about those we miss and the memories we shared.
Light up a Life is a chance to pause and reflect on the life of someone who will always hold a special place in our hearts. We invite you to make a dedication in their memory as part of Light up a Life, a simple and meaningful way to remember and celebrate someone special and all that they meant, and continue to mean, to you.

During Ellie’s stay every moment and every choice was explained calmly and all her decisions were treated with the upmost respect which made us feel at ease during an incredibly difficult time.
The nurses regularly checked on Ellie day and night, making sure she was comfortable and that her pain was well managed. They ensured she had all the care that she needed and I felt reassured she was in safe hands. As a family we felt loved and cared for. Even when I needed five minutes to gather my thoughts, there was someone to talk to. Having someone who understood the journey we were on and who could just listen meant so much. This is what makes Rowans so much more than a place where Ellie received end of life care. It is somewhere the whole family feels supported during some of the hardest moments of our lives. Every dedication celebrates a life that mattered, while every donation can make a real difference to someone facing one of life’s most difficult times – helping a patient feel cared for, giving a family reassurance, or ensuring someone who is grieving does not have to face it alone.

This service is limited to 300 people. Tickets must be booked in advance. Seats are not reserved.
Join us at our annual Lake of Lights at Canoe Lake, and light a candle in memory of someone you love and miss.
