Emily’s dad sadly died at the Rowans Hospice in March 2002, as this year marks the 20-year anniversary Emily decided to take on a huge challenge in his memory…a Tandem Skydive, a 5,000 freefall at 120mph, before a five-minute canopy ride over the stunning Salisbury plain, with views right across to the Solent!

At the start of the year, Emily told us “March 2022 will mark 20 years since my dad passed away at the Rowans Hospice, and what better way to celebrate his crazy life than by doing something totally crazy! I miss him every day and cannot believe 20 years have already gone by.”

Emily has now completed her challenge and generated a huge £1,610 for the Charity. We asked Emily about her experience; “Skydiving was an absolutely incredible experience, I’ll never forget it and I am so proud of myself. I cannot recommend it enough. My advice would be don’t be afraid of the unknown, embrace it and when you’re falling just remember who you are doing it for, why you are doing it, and when you land it’s okay to cry!”
