Charlotte O'neill - July 2025

Image showing Charlotte O'neill receiving Thrive Award from Iain Cameron

Charlotte has worked tirelessly on the implementation of the new finance system. She has provided support to the rest of the team and taken a lead while the Head of Finance has been on leave. The team have been under considerable pressure and Charlotte has approached the challenge calmly and methodically. I really appreciate her support and hard work.

Lauren Fenlon - August 2025

Two adults stand side by side indoors, smiling at the camera. The person on the left wears pink medical scrubs with a lanyard and ID badge, and the person on the right wears a patterned brown cardigan over a pink shirt, jeans, and white trainers, holding a white envelope. They are in a bright room with grey carpet; behind them are chairs with people seated, a decorated Christmas tree, and a screen with festive lights.

Lauren has been instrumental in supporting the recent changes within the Catering service and has demonstrated the THRIVE values throughout the process. Trust Lauren quickly became a trusted voice in the catering review, offering thoughtful input and showing genuine commitment to improving the food experience for patients. Her reliability and practical suggestions have helped the team move forward with confidence. Honesty She has provided honest, constructive feedback when reviewing the existing menu and patient nutrition options. Lauren has shown integrity in balancing clinical need with patient preference, ensuring that conversations remain person-centred and solutions-focused. Respect Lauren approaches all colleagues with empathy and professional respect, recognising the pressures the catering team face and working collaboratively to support positive change rather than impose it. Her approach has encouraged open and respectful dialogue across departments. Impact Her impact is clear — from helping to shape a more varied and appealing menu to sharing creative ideas for using surplus stock (such as Fortisips in desserts or nutritional snacks), Lauren’s input has directly influenced outcomes that benefit both patients and the organisation. Value Lauren adds real value through her clinical insight and practical mindset. Her suggestions are not only evidence-based but also mindful of cost, waste, and patient wellbeing — helping ensure resources are used smartly without compromising care. Evolve She embraces change with positivity. Rather than resist adjustments to long-standing processes, Lauren has contributed proactively to evolving our approach, helping to modernise the menu and optimise nutrition delivery in a way that feels both progressive and grounded in care.

Keith Duffin- September 2025

A man in a black polo shirt and jeans is shaking hands with another man wearing a green sweater and beige trousers. Both are smiling and wearing green lanyards. The man in the green sweater is holding an envelope and a small gift. They are standing in front of a plain light-colored wall.

I would like to nominate Keith. He is always willing to help us on Reception, and when I was unwell, he went above and beyond his usual duties to support me. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and he was consistently kind, thoughtful, and approachable.

Morgan Bray - October 2025

Two man standing side by side in front of a glass wall. The man on the left is taller, wearing a khaki green jumper, beige trousers and is handing an envelope to the man on the right. The man on the right is shorter, wering a black tio with a brown and beige patterned jacket and white jeans.

Morgan is an absolute IT superstar. He is always available to support with any issues and nothing is ever too much trouble. He has gone above and beyond to support Rowans in saving money, for example by setting up 15 laptops at once! The phone switch was another project where Morgan showed to be a real team player, supporting every department with this change. With the recent website issues, Morgan went above and beyond supporting me (Marketing Manager) in pin pointing the issue to get sorted as soon as possible to get everything back live our staff and community. Whenever there is an IT problem Morgan is always a call away willing to help or escalate it where it’s needed, always with a smile on his face.

Julie Bennett - November 2025

Three woman standint and smiling. woman on the left is wearing aBlue and White knit dress with black leggings, she has short black hair and wears square glasses. The woman in the middle is taller and wearing a black jumper and black trousers, she has brown hair with lighter brown highlights, she's holding a THRIVE Award Certificate. The woman on the write is blonde and wears cat eye shaped glasses with a black trim, she's wearing a white t-shirt with a snowman, a light grey cardigan, and dark blue jeans.

Julie is the wonderful manager for the Cowplain Craft Store and has turned it into a wonderful community. She has worked so hard to get it to the warm and welcoming place that it is, the volunteers are lovely to talk to and you can tell how passionate everyone is to help out each other. On top of all the positive comments we get from customers, Julie really does make an effort to involve everyone in the community, with their upcoming Christmas Display, Julie even gets the customers involved with helping to contribute. She has made such a positive impact to the community with how well the shop is run and will always go above and beyond for each unusual request that comes her way.

Chrissie Salero - December 2025

Two adults stand side by side indoors, smiling at the camera. The person on the left wears pink medical scrubs and a hite cardigan with a lanyard and ID badge, and the person on the right wears a patterned brown cardigan over a pink shirt, jeans, and white trainers, holding a white envelope. They are in a bright room with grey carpet; behind them are chairs with people seated, a decorated Christmas tree, and a screen with festive lights.

Chrissy always gives 100% in everything she does. In my opinion, Chrissy is one of the most reliable and dedicated members of the Rowans family, consistently ensuring that patients come first. Chrissy regularly goes the extra mile, whether that’s popping out to the shops to find an item a patient has requested or taking the time to make them feel heard and cared for. Her interactions with patients are a joy to watch, she demonstrates, every day, that their welfare and comfort are her top priorities. It is clear to see that her dedication and support extends to our patients families and friends. Chrissy is uncomplicated and has a pure honesty about her. She is methodical and thoughtful in everything she undertakes, striving to maintain high standards and contributing greatly to the smooth running of the volunteer team she works alongside. Her commitment, compassion and dedication make her an outstanding candidate for this award.
