Great South Run

17 October 2021 8:00 am

Apply for one of our 25 bond places today!

Rowans Hospice Charity has purchased Charity places for the Great South Run on 17 October.

The £25 entry fee includes your place in the Great South Run, a Rowans Hospice Charity running vest and your personalised iTab (normal cost £7.99).  Your Great South Run pack, which includes your running number and timing chip so your family and friends can track your progress on the day, will be sent to you prior to the event.

Once you have crossed the finish line, you will receive a shiny new medal and an exclusive t-shirt from the Great South Run!

We are asking all Rowans Runners to pledge to raise a suggested sponsorship of £400 to help support the Charity as it begins its long road to recovery after the devastating financial losses caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic.

How to Fundraise

The quickest and easiest way to collect sponsorship is by setting up a personal online fundraising page with JustGiving. JustGiving will send your sponsorship money to us automatically so all you need to do is share your page with friends and family so you can begin receiving donations for Rowans Hospice Charity.

  1. Visit justgiving.co.uk
  2. Login to your account or if you are new to JustGiving you will need to create your account.
  3. When asked ‘Are you fundraising for a registered charity?’ select ‘Yes, continue’.
  4. Search for Rowans Hospice.
  5. Confirm details of the event.
  6. Choose your web address (URL) – this is the link you’ll be sharing with friends and family when asking them to donate.
  7. Click ‘Create your page’…your fundraising page is now ready to accept donations.

Remember! The more people you tell about your fundraiser and your reason for taking part, the more they will want to support and encourage you to reach your target.

If you would like to collect sponsorship offline, you can download a sponsorship form here.

Take a look at the Fundraising Toolkit here  for more hints and tips on setting up and promoting your fundraising page.
