2 Roles – part time 16 hours per week (per role)

We are looking for two Van Drivers, to be responsible for the safe collection, delivery and/or distribution of donations, stock and other Rowans Hospice Charity related items so that income generation opportunities and targets are developed and achieved across the Charity.  The post holder will carry out deliveries and collections of donations, alongside the Van Porters, for our Retail Shops to maximise income for the Charity. Deliveries and collections are carried out daily and the role involves high volume of stock movement. Stock is delivered and collected from our warehouse to the shops and also to customers homes, stock comes in various shapes, sizes and weight, so good manual handling skills are essential.

The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

Excellent customer service skills and have a flexible approach working in a team comprising of staff and volunteers

• Ability to lift and manoeuvre furniture safely
• Ability to work flexibly within a multi-skilled team
• Understanding or experience of working within a retail environment
• Applicants must be able to fulfil the requirements of our insurance Policy.
• Experience in multi-site deliveries would be advantageous, however full training will be given
• You must have a clean and full UK driving license along with two years’ experience of driving a van.
