Senior Staff Nurse, Hospice at Home

(£33,706.00 – £40,588.00 FTE dependent on experience)

30 hours per week, including alternate weekends

The Rowans Hospice Charity is an independent organisation offering specialist palliative care to patients with life limiting disease, located in Waterlooville, Hampshire.

As a Charity, we offer opportunities for palliative support to patients and their families over an extensive range of in-patient and out-patient services; we pride ourselves on our excellent care for patients, their families, our staff and volunteers. The hospice is proud to have been rated as outstanding in the latest CQC inspection.

An opportunity has arisen to join our Hospice at Home team at Rowans Hospice Charity as a Senior Staff Nurse. You will be RGN registered and have a proven post qualification; knowledge of working within a palliative care setting would be desirable.  Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills are key to this role.

You will be required to work days, early/late shifts and alternate weekends. You will receive shift allowance for weekends, evening and bank holiday working and travel expenses.

All candidates must have a full clean driving license and have access to a vehicle.

Hospice at Home support patients who are within the last 12 weeks of life as well as those in their final days, patients returning home from the inpatient unit, hospital and in some cases supporting nursing homes who seek additional support to cope with the complex nature of care required by some patients.
