Rowans/Solent Psychology & Bereavement Service is delivered through a partnership between Solent NHS Trust and Rowans Hospice. This post will be employed by Solent NHS Trust.

You will join an established team that provide psychological support to people with a life-shortening illness, as well as to carers and other family members affected by the patient’s illness, and to individuals experiencing prolonged bereavements.

You will need to have good communication skills that enable you to liaise with senior healthcare professionals and managers, as well as with patients and families, who may at times be in distress, in order to organise therapy appointments and set up professional meetings across the calendars of five busy clinicians. You will also need to be proficient at managing patient information systems, collecting and managing service data, and have good organisation skills for administrating the referral/allocation process in conjunction with the service lead.

We are a supportive, friendly team, dedicated to creating a healthy work environment. A thorough induction programme will be provided.

Please feel free to contact Dr Paul Beadon, Psychology & Bereavement Service Lead, if you have any questions.
