Patient Care Volunteer Co-ordinator – Maternity Cover FTC 1 year
£9.50 per hour
30 hours per week, including alternate weekends
The Rowans Hospice Charity has provided specialist palliative care and support to patients with life limiting illnesses in Portsmouth and South East Hampshire for more than 27 years. Following a very challenging period, throughout which the Charity has continued to provide clinical care.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Ward Volunteer Co-ordinator to cover Maternity for one year who will work alongside the catering team to ensure high quality nutritional service is delivered to patients and their relatives, communicate any concerns regarding patients to a ward sister, acting as a point of contact for the ward volunteers, ensuring that the volunteer rota is covered and dealing with queries as appropriate.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a consistent level of courtesy and consideration and sensitivity to patients, their relatives and visitors with excellent communication skills to support the catering team and the clinical team.
