Associate Shop Manager, Hayling Island Shop
Full time 40 hours (over 7 days pw)
Weekend working required
Salary £22,000 pa
We have a great opportunity for commercially minded and community focused people who will lead a diverse team of people, taking a pro-active approach in the day-to-day operations within the Rowans Hospice Charity retail Hayling shop.
The Associate Shop Manager position incorporates a training programme which will support the post holder in learning the responsibilities involved in managing one of the Charity’s retail shops.
You will be responsible for maintaining a high standard in all administration, financial management and cash handling, security procedures and housekeeping tasks, taking the initiative to work with the wider retail team to share best practice and develop sales and the retail operation.
We are particularly interested in speaking to people who have proven retail and customer service experience, well developed interpersonal skills and a positive ‘can-do’ attitude. As well as ensuring an outstanding customer experience, you will need to maintain excellent merchandising standards by continually reviewing product placement and layout in order to maximise sales opportunities.
The post holders will be required to line manage a dedicated team of staff and volunteers and will therefore need excellent leadership skills to guide and coach the team to develop a sustainable income stream for the Charity. You will take a proactive interest in recruiting, developing and retaining staff and volunteers, ensuring that they meet their personal aspirations.
In order to support the wider Retail team in all shops and in line with business needs, a full clean driving licence and a vehicle is a requirement of the role
