Bekah and Holly’s Three Peaks Challenge

Bekah and Holly Arkle took on the Three Peaks Challenge in memory of their Dad, who died at the Rowans Hospice in 2002. The Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales, within 24 hours. The girls marked the 20th anniversary of their Dad’s death by taking on this incredible challenge with their friends, generating an incredible £1,819 for the Rowans Hospice Charity.
Bekah and Holly told us “We lost our Dad to a brain tumour 20 years ago. He was diagnosed with a glioblastoma multiforme, the most aggressive type of brain tumour and was given a life expectancy of six months. When Dad was diagnosed, he died just four weeks later. Despite two decades passing, very little progress has been made in finding a cure or slowing down this awful disease. All money generated will go towards Brain Tumour Research UK and the Rowans Hospice Charity – the incredible Hospice who looked after our Dad during his final days.”
Thank you so much to everyone who took part, your support of the Charity is very much appreciated.
