In memory of her mother, who passed away from cancer in 2023, Catriona Janes set out on an extraordinary journey to raise funds and awareness for Rowans Hospice. Over 16 days, she walked the entire Pennine Way — a gruelling 268-mile trek from Edale in Derbyshire to Kirk Yetholm in Scotland, climbing the equivalent of Mount Everest in elevation across tough, rugged terrain. Her dog, Bogey, also took on some of the journey with her.
Catriona’s achievement is a testament to her determination, and to the generous support of everyone who donated. We are incredibly grateful.
