Living Well Centre Hospice Companions
Would you like to volunteer and be a part of a team? Can you spare a couple of hours per week?
We currently have exciting opportunities for Hospice Companions to join our dedicated team of volunteers based at the Rowans Living Well Centre.
A volunteer companion provides support/befriends local people and families who are affected by a life limiting illness. You would provide a range of tasks from practical support such as dog walking, shopping, light housework, being a listening ear or simply sharing a common interest in people’s homes. Training and support will be provided adding to your own skills and life experience, whilst making a difference and being there for someone from diagnosis, to death and into bereavement.
Rowans Hospice is committed to ensuring the safety and welfare of all children and vulnerable adults needing our care and support. Subsequently, our recruitment process is thorough, ensuring a consistent and detailed approach to gather information from and about candidates so that all persons appointed are suitable to work with children and vulnerable adults.
