Every year children and young adults are bereaved or living with a family member with a life-limiting illness. At Rowans Hospice, we are here to offer a wide range of support to them and help them through these difficult times through Rowan’s Meerkat Service.
Our services could not be provided without the kind donations and fundraising that is done on our behalf, including schools, colleges and youth groups.
Whether you want to help us at one of our events, volunteer your services at the Hospice or in one of our shops, or fundraise in your own way, we are here to support you. Find some top tips below on how we can support you and some great ideas to raise funds!
Bake and make for Rowans Hospice
Baked goods and homemade crafts are always a top seller! If you think you could be the next Mary Berry or Paul Hollywood, why not host your own Bake Off – charge people to enter and then sell the cakes after the winner has been announced! As the festive season approaches, why not set up a stall selling homemade crafts, decorative cards and calendars.
Quizzes, bingo and fun sports days are a great way to get some competitiveness going between the staff and the students. You never know who may come out on top! Putting the children in charge of the games will also allow the adults to have their mind put through the paces in some of the quiz questions!
Sell your Unwanted Possessions
Clear out your wardrobe, cupboards and attics and finally get rid of anything and everything you no longer want. Sell them on through bring and buy sales, rummage stalls or even pass them on to your local Rowans Hospice shop to be sold to raise funds for us.
There are many ideas to raise funds for Rowans Hospice. Above are a few suggestions of events that we know can work well, but we will support you in any idea you may have. Don’t forget, there are also plenty of events for you to get involved in, take a look at our latest events .
