There are lots of fun ways to raise money for Rowans Hospice which will help us to care for people with life-limiting illnesses. Here are some ideas:
Run or Ride
Whether you run or cycle regularly or for fun, you can fundraise for Rowans Hospice by participating in any local or national runs, including the Great South Run, or the London and Brighton marathons. However, if you do choose to do something that can be physically demanding, please read our Training Tips to ensure your activity is safe and fun.
Go back to the '80s, '70s or '60s with work days or parties themed around a particular decade. Everyone pays £2 to take part.
Egg and spoon races
Head up to your local park with a group of friends and re-live this favourite Easter activity over a picnic. Everyone pays a race entry fee.
It’s good to talk
Have a non-email day at work. Everyone pays a fee to take part and pays a fine if they break the rules!
Get people to donate mugs with assorted fillings - sweets, soaps, screws, rubber bands - and sell tickets to win them. This is great to have at a coffee morning or lunch.
Who's the baby?
Get everyone to bring in a photo of themselves as babies then charge people £2 to guess their identities
Rubik's cube party
Everyone arrives wearing items in Rubik's cube colours but must end the evening dressed only in one colour! A donation is made each time there’s a colour swap.
Suitable for daytime or evening, participants and spectators pay a fee to join in.
Dress down day
Organise a dress down day at work or school and make a small donation.
Give it up
Get sponsored to give something up for a month (or longer!).
Wine lovers evening
Guess the country, grape and price. Charge everyone for tasting and order taxis!
