Mayor of Fareham raises 12,500 for Jacuzzi bath for the Hospice
We were delighted to welcome the Mayor of Fareham, Councillor Mrs Pamela Bryant and Mayoress Councillor Louise Clubley on Wednesday, 27 April 2022 after receiving a fantastic donation of £12,500.
Councillor Bryant chose the Rowans Hospice Charity as part of her Charity appeal and generated enough income to purchase a Jacuzzi bath for patients to enjoy at the Hospice. The Charity is very close to Councillor Bryant’s heart after sadly losing her husband at the Hospice. Councillor Bryant has said ‘During my tenure as Mayor of Fareham I have been delighted to raise funds through my Charity Appeal. Whilst the pandemic has been a difficult time for fundraising, I am so pleased to have raised enough to provide a Jacuzzi bath in the new area, along with funds for some extras. I sincerely hope this new addition will benefit many patients in future years.’
The Jacuzzi bath has been very gratefully received and we are delighted to now unveil it as part of the refurbishment. Chief Executive, Ruth White and Honorary Chairman, John Watkins were delighted to show Councillor Bryant and Councillor Clubley around and reveal the newly fitted Jacuzzi bath.
Thank you so much to Councillor Bryant and Councillor Clubley and to everyone who donated to the Mayor of Fareham’s Charity appeal.
