Sales Assistant – Hayling Island
2 days per week (16 hours) to be worked across a 7-day week on a rota basis.
£9.50 – £9.70 per hour.
Please note – our Retail Shops operate on a seven-day trading flexible schedule, this is an all year-round position and flexibility to work across the full trading week will be required to cover Holidays up to a maximum 40 hrs per week.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Assistant to join the team at our Hayling Island shop and to help us to increase awareness of the Charity. We are looking for a commercially minded and community focused individual to join us, with the capability to develop and lead a high level of customer satisfaction through excellent customer service.
We are particularly interested in speaking to people who have proven retail experience, well developed interpersonal skills and a positive ‘can-do’ attitude. Our Sales Assistants support the Shop Manager in every aspect of the day-to-day running of the shop. As well as ensuring an outstanding customer experience, you will need to be able to maintain excellent housekeeping and visual merchandising standards so as to continue ensure the sustainability of the retail income stream for the Charity.
In order to support the teams in other shops when required and in line with business needs, a full clean driving licence and transport would be advantageous. There will also be the opportunity to work additional hours to support annual leave cover, this could be up to a maximum of 40 hours per week. The post will also involve regular manual handling, due to the nature of the Shop and donations.
