37.5 hours per week

(may include occasional weekend working)

£43,742.00 – £50,055.00 per annum

The Rowans Hospice Charity is an independent organisation offering specialist palliative care to patients with life limiting disease, located in Waterlooville, Hampshire.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Living Well Centre (LWC) as the new Living Well Centre Manager.   The successful applicant will lead a team of nurses, complementary therapists and trained volunteers over a seven day week, offering guidance and support to patients and carers living with a life-limiting and progressive illness and support and guidance to those that have been bereaved.

The LWC Manager will be responsible for developing programmes of care that provide the users with support, that develops and maintains resilience, improves quality of life and enables people to live well until they die.

The post holder will be responsible for promoting the concept of the LWC, broadening the reach of hospice care, engaging partners in health and social care, networking and building relationships with other like-minded organisations with a view to delivering new services in partnership; working with the community to embrace the concept of the Living Well Centre.

The successful candidate will have;

  • RGN Qualification
  • Will be on NMC Register parts 1 or 12
  • Study undertaken at Masters level or equivalent demonstrable experience
  • Five years’ experience in Specialist / Palliative care
  • Two years managerial experience
  • Clear demonstration of professional leadership
  • Clear demonstration of managing change
