Lead Social Worker
Band 7 (£38,890 – £44,503 FTE, dependant on experience)
30 hours per week
The Rowans Hospice Charity is an independent organisation offering specialist palliative care to patients with life limiting disease, located in Waterlooville, Hampshire.
As a Charity, we offer opportunities for palliative support to patients and their families over an extensive range of in-patient and out-patient services; we pride ourselves on our excellent care for patients, their families, our staff and volunteers. The Hospice is proud to have been rated as outstanding in the latest CQC inspection.
An opportunity has arisen to join the Charity as a Lead Social Worker. The role is responsible for the management of the social work team, along with the provision of social work/care management service to patients and carers in facilitating discharge home, or a smooth transfer to an alternative care environment.
The successful applicant will have the required qualifications in Social work and be able to demonstrate relevant experience in care management and strong counselling skills. We are looking for an individual who has a keen interest in working with families and an awareness of bereavement issues. They will need the ability to participate in the development of services within a multi-professional team. Teaching skills, leadership skills and evidence of continuous career development is essential.
