We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Director of Finance & IT, based at the Rowans Hospice Charity in Purbrook.   

The Charity has provided specialist palliative care and support to patients with life limiting illnesses, and to their relatives and carers, in Portsmouth and South East Hampshire for 27 years.

The Director of Finance & IT role is an integral part of the Charity’s senior management team.  The role holder will report directly to the Chief Executive and will lead the Finance and IT functions in the provision of financial and ICT data, reports and information for the Senior Management Team and Trustees.  This includes the annual budgeting process, all monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting requirements and to ensure the Charity’s financial systems and resources are in place so as to support the income generation objectives and financial governance of the Charity.

In recent times the Charity has implemented a new ERP system and it would be helpful for the post holder to have experience of implementing such systems, and certainly to have project management capability in order to complete the implementation of this very important process. The post holder will need to be an inspirational and proficient leader of people with the ability to inspire and to build a motivated and high performing team. You will be qualified ACA or ACCA or CIMA Accountant with demonstrable experience of successfully leading and managing a finance and IT function.
