The Rowans Hospice Charity has provided specialist palliative care and support to patients with life limiting illnesses in Portsmouth and South East Hampshire for more than 27 years. Following a very challenging period, throughout which the Charity has continued to provide clinical care.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Clinical Co-ordination Hub Administrators who will work alongside the Clinical Hub Senior Clinician on duty to act as the first point of contact to the hospice, answering calls from patients, family members and healthcare professionals and dealing with them as appropriate. The role will include signposting to the hospice services and processing incoming referrals for admission to the hospice IPU and will be proficient in managing our in-house Electronic Patient Records (ERP) and become familiar with other EPR systems (RIO, System 1, CHIE, Portsmouth Hospitals Trust) to support the hub clinicians.
We are looking for people that can demonstrate a consistent level of courtesy and consideration and sensitivity to patients, their relatives and visitors with excellent communication skills to support callers who may be anxious or distressed.
