I had the privilege of working for Rowans Hospice between 2002 to 2012, initially, in Fundraising and Marketing and also alongside patients on the ward, helping with their care. It was during this time that I learned the importance of Specialist Palliative Care. In 2017, after a spell abroad, I was given the opportunity of becoming a Trustee, a role I greatly value and enjoy. I am able to engage with the governance and strategy of Rowans and help to shape its future. I value the interaction with volunteers and staff and the opportunity to support many of the events organised either by Rowans or in support of Rowans by our community.
