Pauline told us:
Many people have experienced loss or dealing with life limiting illnesses and received or are still receiving, the incredible support from Rowans Hospice and Rowans Living Well Services.
Many years ago a good friend passed in the hospice who had a dream, to do drumming and sound therapy, as a joint effort with myself to offer an alternative way for others, to find relaxation, feel less stressed or just to connect with others or their inner selves, feelings, trauma, grief through an activity like drumming & Sound immersion to support their wellbeing physically, mentally or spiritually. Both of us and many others find this form of therapy very helpful.
Plus we recently lost two more very dear friends, one just before Christmas and our second friend on the 6/1/24 (Melanie Thorne). She was an attendee of my Drumming & Sound Sessions in which I was volunteering in running, at the Rowans Living Well Centre.
Rowans Hospice and Living Well Services has given so much support and comfort to so many people, and I felt why not give back just a little more, as a little more can go a very long way. We have also had so many friends who have benefited from Headway and their support in helping others too.
My good friend Tess Zair and myself decided to combine our love of sound, friendship and supporting others to organise this event to raise funds for both charities and bring awareness to others of how Sound can help with your overall wellbeing.
