This group can explore and consider issues such as:
• Areas of interest or concern in relation to the bereavement services.
• Issues raised through surveys/questionnaires.
• Local/national frameworks or standards.
• Research and development.
• Development of Rowans Hospice information publications.
What is the ask of this group?
• To share experiences of the services used.
• Offer ideas and suggestions on how services could be improved.
• Share ‘good practice’ and what the organisation does well.
• Help the Rowans Hospice to plan and make decisions about its services.
• Provide insights into how health issues and treatment impact on people’s wider lives including religious and cultural factors, emotional and practical issues.
• Provide representation of community with insights into the needs of particular groups such as people with a disability, older people, and all minority groups.
This User Group is not:
• A place to raise complaints. This should be through the complaint’s procedure at Rowans Hospice
• Required to fundraise as part of the groups work.
• A place to raise issues about services and departments outside the remit of the group.
• Just information-passing.
• A token gesture.
