Job Description



Rowans Retail is proud to support the Rowans Hospice by providing a reliable source of income, enabling support to the community when it matters most.

We are looking for an experienced retail Shop Manager who has an understanding of charity retail and who can support our diverse team of staff and volunteers through an interim period of change at our Rowans shop in Titchfield.

You will be responsible for processing donations to a high standard, maintaining a high standard in all administration, financial management, cash handling, daily banking, security procedures and housekeeping tasks, taking the initiative to work with the wider retail team to share best practice and develop sales and the operation.

You will take a proactive interest in recruiting, developing and retaining your employees and volunteers, ensuring that they meet their personal aspirations as well as upholding the reputation that the Rowans Hospice is renowned for.

As well as ensuring an outstanding customer experience you will also be expected to actively promote all Rowans initiatives and campaigns to promote awareness of the Charity.

We are particularly interested in speaking to people who have retail experience, well developed interpersonal skills and proven leadership experience.

Rowans Retail is proud to support Rowans Hospice by providing a sustainable income stream to the Hospice, enabling support to the community when it matters most.  We are looking for a commercially minded and process driven Warehouse & Logistics Manager who will lead a diverse team of people, taking a pro-active approach in the development of all warehousing operations including processing donations of a textile, bric-a- brac and furniture and logistics associated with collections and deliveries.

You will be responsible for maintaining a high standard in all administration, financial management, health & safety, security procedures and housekeeping tasks, taking the initiative to work with the wider retail team to ensure the Warehouse service provision is second to none.

You will take a proactive interest in recruiting, developing and retaining your employees and volunteers, ensuring that they meet their personal aspirations as well as upholding the reputation that Rowans Hospice is renowned for.

As well as ensuring an outstanding warehouse operation, you will also be expected to develop the business activity which may include exploring opportunities such as upcycling, house clearance and expansion of warehousing units.  

We are particularly interested in speaking to people who have warehouse and logistics experience, well developed interpersonal skills and proven leadership qualities.
