The Rowans Hospice is encouraging any keen crafters to use their talents to turn unsaleable items into money-making gifts. A craft room has been set up at the Furniture Warehouse in Farlington for upcycling scraps of material, cards and other unwanted odds and ends into hand-made items to sell in The Rowans Hospice shops.
Hayley Hamlett, Volunteer Service Manager at The Rowans Hospice Trading Company, said: "There is a wealth of talent in our local community and we would like to invite individuals to help create new things from old. At the same time there will be an opportunity to socialise with like-minded people with a passion for craft.
"We have a number of opportunities for card-makers, knitters and stitchers to join us and have fun. All materials will be provided so there is no cost involved; the only requirement is enthusiasm."
For more information please contact Hayley Hamlett on 023 9238 7893 or visit the warehouse at 6a Marshlands Road, Farlington, Portsmouth, PO6 1ST.
