@samdraycott Hi Sam - names were in The News on Monday. We don't have details of the times taken to do the walk as it is not a race. Thanks!Wed Jun 22 08:15:48
It costs over £5.3 million every year to provide our essential services. This would be impossible without the fantastic community support we get from the people of Portsmouth and South East Hampshire.
From skydiving to coffee mornings, from wearing a silly wig to running a marathon, your options for getting involved are endless! To discover all the exciting ways you can support us go to forthcoming events.
Every year hundreds of individuals fundraise for us. If you’ve never fundraised before don’t worry, we’re here to help! You may already have a fundraising idea of your own but if not we’ve lots of fundraising ideas to help you get started. Once you’ve decided on an idea, go to plan your own event for our top tips on getting organised.
"Losing my brother-in-law was a huge shock. But the staff at The Rowans Hospice were fantastic. We can't fault the care he received and we want to do everything we can to help."
Alternatively, you may prefer to fundraise as part of a group. Last year the Portsmouth and Southsea Rotary Club organised a very successful Dragon Boat Festival with us. Each year we receive tremendous support from golf club days, pub quiz nights, the WI and other community groups. If you like activities that involve friends and family then our Summer Fete and Moonlit Memories Walk offer perfect seasonal opportunities.
Group fundraising is rewarding in so many ways. It’s sociable and a great way to meet new people. The Rowans Hospice has twelve Support Groups which hold events such as coffee mornings and plant sales. If you’re interested, please go to join a Support Group.
Other ways of getting involved as part of a group include trekking adventures, fundraising at work with events like Ruby Red Day and getting your company to offer us business support Our fundraising events are rewarding, great fun and many are easy to join through online registration.
Take a look at our latest events and be inspired!
