In the UK around half a million people provide unpaid care for those with life-limiting illnesses.
Many find caring a rewarding role but it can also be hard work and stressful. It can affect your job, finances, social life and personal well-being. Extending support to carers is a key part of our philosophy of care.
Many carers have to cope with an illness that is complex and unpredictable. Often there’s a lot of information to take in and there may be unexpected life changes to deal with. We believe it’s important that you receive the information, help and advice you need.

Each year we take part in Carers Week, a national initiative which recognises and celebrates the huge contribution made by carers to society. During the event we offer a programme of activities in Day Care and The Heath Centre designed to reach out to carers and ensure they appropriately supported.
