The aim of physiotherapy is to maximise mobility and to maintain functional independence. This means focusing on the ability to perform everyday activities.
By helping to relieve physical symptoms resulting from life-limiting illness, physiotherapists play an important role in helping to improve quality of life for patients.
"All the exercises have helped me cope with the physical side of my condition."

"I know that there is always help available with any problems or worries that I may have."
Physiotherapy can help to:
If you are attending The Heath Centre or Day Care you will meet the physiotherapist who will offer treatment, if indicated, during your visit. Those who are admitted for in-patient care can be treated in their own room or in our well-equip ped physiotherapy suite. We also provide care for patients at home.
Like all services provided by The Rowans Hospice, access to physiotherapy is completely free of charge.
