You will be responsible for contributing to and assisting with the catering services provided within the hospice for patients, visitors, staff and functions held at the Hospice and Living Well Centre.

The successful candidate will have catering experience and hold a City and Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 in Professional Cookery or equivalent. A certificate in Food Hygiene is essential.

We are seeking an experienced Nurse to join The Rowans Hospice in providing end of life care support to people with dementia.
The successful candidate will have the expertise to provide specialist clinical advice, education and training to clinical staff caring for people with dementia or other cognitive impairment. You will provide specialist nursing assessment, intervention, advice and support to patients, their carers and families in their own homes.
You will be flexible and supportive in order to achieve the best possible care ensuring a cohesive, holistic multi-disciplinary approach to the management of end of life care for patients with dementia.
The ideal candidate will be RGN qualified with a proven track record of working with people with advanced dementia. You will also have demonstrable experience of palliative care and working in the community, primary and acute settings. Knowledge of the Mental Health Act is essential.

Clinical/Counselling Psychologist in Specialist Palliative Care
Based at The Rowans Hospice
This is an exciting opportunity to work within our Specialist Palliative Care (SPC) Psychology Service, which is based at The Rowans Hospice The successful applicant will join a team of psychologists in providing specialist psychological support to people who have a life-shortening illness, as well as to carers and other family members affected by the patient’s illness. The service also provides specialist interventions for individuals experiencing complex bereavements. The service also delivers supervision, MDT consultancy and education across NHS and hospice settings. The service works in to the local community and in to Rowans Hospice inpatient and day-care services.
Support in developing specialist skills for working with this client group will be provided to clinicians new to this specialty. Management Support and Clinical Supervision will be provided regularly.

Staff Nurse - Hospice at Home Service

The Hospice at Home Service are expanding their services to support patients returning home from the ward and in some cases supporting nursing homes who are not equipped to cope with the complex nature of care required by our patients.
We are looking to recruit a number of trained nurses to join the existing team of trained and untrained nurses to continue to deliver the high standard of care across the service.
The successful candidates will be NMC registered and have experience in palliative care. One year's post registration experience is essential. Ideally you will hold a post qualifying qualification, however this is not essential.
All candidates must have a full clean diriving license and have access to a car.
