Working for us

We have a proud history of excellence and innovation in hospice care. We know that our success is due to the people who work for us, so we value our staff as our greatest asset.

The Rowans Hospice is a friendly, supportive and service driven work environment. We have a talented and committed team of staff and volunteers. They come from a variety of backgrounds and contribute a huge range of skills – from nursing to fundraising, from catering to counselling.

We have a multi-million pound turnover and employ approximately 300 people with over 1,500 volunteers across the Hospice and The Trading Company.

We operate with integrity and aim to make coming to work for us a rewarding experience. We give training to volunteers and offer all staff opportunities to develop their knowledge and skills through professional development.

To support sustainability and future developments The Board of Trustees are seeking to appoint two new Director roles, accountable to the Chief Executive, who will take responsibility for shaping and developing the HR and Financial strategy for the Hospice.

The Rowans Hospice prides itself on its ability to perform with confidence, professionalism and efficiency and welcomes new Directors to join a motivated and dedicated senior management team.
