The Rowans Hospice is a friendly, supportive and service driven work environment. We have a talented and committed team of staff and volunteers. They come from a variety of backgrounds and contribute a huge range of skills – from nursing to fundraising, from catering to counselling.

We have a multi-million pound turnover and employ approximately 300 people with over 1,500 volunteers across the Hospice and The Trading Company.

Community Fundraiser
Salary: £21,269 per annum
Hours: 37.5

We are looking for a methodical worker with communications skills to work with the local community and community based organisations to develop and grow fundraising opportunities.  To interact with people who wish to share their personal reasons for fundraising for The Hospice.

A good knowledge of fundraising methods and knowledge of media communications channels would be beneficial.

Events and Community Fundraising Manager

Salary: £32,550.56 per annum
Hours: 37.5

We are looking to recruit an effective and dynamic professional to manage the Fundraising Team.  You will be responsible for the development and delivery of the fundraising strategy and the co-ordination and management of fundraising events.

You will be educated to degree level and have a minimum of two years’ experience of Fundraising, preferably event fundraising.  You will have experience of managing a diverse team to deliver set targets and have experience of forecasting and financial budgeting and reporting.  Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential.

Lottery Administrator

Salary: £9,894 per annum
Hours: 21

We are looking to recruit an efficient worker with an eye for detail to work within a busy Fundraising Office.  You will be responsible in particular for maintaining the Lottery database.

The successful applicant will have an NVQ level 3/A level in Business Administration or equivalent.  You will have a working knowledge of database management and administration.  You must have the ability to work logically and methodically under your own initiative.  Good IT skills are essential.

Up to £2,500 pa contribution towards course fees

An opportunity to join the Finance team in a well-respected local charity providing care for people with life limiting illnesses and during the final days of their life. This position will support both The Rowans Hospice and The Rowans Trading Company.

During a time of growth and change within the charity the ACCA/CIMA trainee will support the Director of Finance to ensure the Finance department continue to provide high quality service and meet the needs of all users of the accounts.

The successful candidate will take on roles to make an immediate impact to the Finance team but after receiving training and gaining experience the trainee accountant will be given increased responsibilities, delivering higher level accounting services.

As the Finance team move towards a business partnering model the successful candidate will play a key part in helping the hospice deliver care to those in need.

Sales Assistant – Petersfield

22.5 hours per week
To include weekend working

You will assist the Shop Manager with the daily operation of the shop and work with the volunteer team to achieve sales targets.  You will promote the work of The Rowans Hospice and contribute towards maximising the success of the shop in general.

 

You will be dynamic and creative with a passion for retail.
