

An exciting new volunteer-led project, in partnership with The Rowans Hospice, designed to help people affected by cancer get on with their lives.
It will be for people who are directly affected by cancer, and could also be for a relative, carer or friend of someone with cancer. Initially this service is being offered to those with GPs in the following areas: Havant, Hayling Island, Emsworth, Waterlooville, Denmead and Cowplain.
Following an assessment visit from staff at The Rowans Hospice, the person referred for visitor support will be carefully matched with a specially trained volunteer in order to provide them with the service they need.

Macmillan Cancer Support is working with The Rowans Hospice to bring Macmillan Solutions to life in this part of Hampshire. This is a pilot project and although the service will not yet be available to everyone, we hope to extend it in the future so that even more people affected by cancer can benefit.
