Coffee Morning at Lee on the Solent

Enjoy a coffee with friends and help raise valuable funds for The Rowans Hospice.

Come a spend quiet time with friends at the Coffee Morning in aid of The Rowans Hospice.

The Mayor of Havant invites you to take Afternoon Tea with her to help raise funds for her chosen charities, which includes The Rowans Hospice. 
With guest speaker, Councillor Mike Cheshire, MBE, who will speak on 'The Battle of Trafalgar'.
Tickets £3.00 to include tea/coffee and biscuits. Payable on the door. A Raffle will be held during the afternoon.

Fly like a bird!

Skydive! A breathtaking 2 mile high parachute jump: jumping 10,000 ft in tandem with an instructor, you will freefall 5,000ft reaching 120mph and then as your parachute opens you will experience a tranquil ride back to the drop zone!
Divers must be 16 years and over and under 16 stone.
Cost of Registration £225, which includes training and equipment, you are asked to raise a minumum sponsorship of £200 making £425 in total.
The event can be arranged for any day to suit you. See 'Year round events.'

A perfect way to spend an afternoon,

The Mayor and Mayoress of Fareham would be delighted to see you at their afternoon Tea Parties in aid of their chosen charities including The Rowans Hospice.
These will take place throughout their year in office.
At this one Ray Gibson will talk about the civilian life of the legendary American band leader Glenn Miller. Admission £4.00.
Ray will give the second part, Glenn Miller in the Army Air Force during WW2, next year. Watch this space!

A time to either test yourself or have a lovely leisurely ride with your family and friends in support of the Hospice.

All three routes will start and finish at Lakeside North Harbour where you are welcome to meet up with friends and family, there will be food and drinks available to purchase. Everyone receives a t-shirt and medal on completion.

Follow the clues to ...?

The Mayor of Havant invites you to test your navigation skills and sense of humour with her Treasure Hunt to raise funds for her chosen charities, which includes The Rowans Hospice.
Vehicles to assemble ready to start at 2.00pm. On arrival drivers will be issued with instructions, a list of directions, clues and items to collect. Entry is £15.00 per person which includes a buffet at the finish. And there is a trophy for the winner!
It is not a race. Rules of the road must be observed. Drivers must declare that their cars are insured against third party risks whilst taking part.

Santiago de Compostela - A Walk of Reflection

A chance to contemplate.

As part of our 20th Anniversary, The Rowans Hospice is offering an opportunity to take a Walk of Reflection from Santiago to Finisterre, the 'end of the world'.This a chance to reflect and to look forward to the future.  
The route starts at the cathedral in Santiago and leads through the mountains via Negreira, Cee and Corcubion to the beauty of Finisterre and on to the lighthouse. The walk takes a leisurely four days along ancient walled paths, countryside and woodland tracks. You will then return to Santiago for a day and a night to take in the sights of the city.
Join us for a walk of inspiration, of hope and of reflection.

Please note: we will be flying out on 4th October with the trek starting on 5th, returning on 11th October.

The cost of the trek is £1,000 per person,which includes a £400 minimum sponsorship target.

A great experience !

Run The Great South Run in aid of The Rowans Hospice.

The fast and flat 10 mile route takes in the iconic sites of the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard including Portsmouth Cathedral, Spinnaker Tower and the HMS Victory- which has played host to the Band of HM Royal Marines, who often perform for passing runners at the iconic site. The final flat stretch along the sea front has given thousands of people the opportunity to get a personal best time for more than twenty years.

Every year the event attracts a plethora of athletes, celebrities and runners raising money for good causes, with over £30 million having been raised for charity over the years.

The Bupa Great South Run has grown into a great weekend of running in the popular seaside location, along with the Bupa Junior & Mini Great South Run and the Bupa Great South Run 5k1.

Children's Moonlit Memories Meander

This very special event is a sponsored walk for children, accompanied by an adult.

Once again we are giving the children the chance to take part in their very own event in aid of The Rowans Hospice, accompanied by an adult. The route of the Meander will take you into secret areas of the naval base and past HMS Victory which will look spectacular lit up at night. The children can choose whether to complete the 1.5-mile course or go on to do a second lap making it a 3-mile challenge. 

Registration is £5 per child with a sponsorship target of £25. Each child will receive a medal and a hot drink and snack on completion.

Due to security in Portsmouth Historic Dockyard and HM Naval Base, we are unable to take registrations on the day.

Help us raise funds by making an exhilarating 10,000 feet freefall tandem parachute jump! 
Imagine, freefalling  for 5,000 feet reaching speeds of 120 mph before opening your parachute for a 5 minute canopy ride taking in the stunning landscape before landing in front of spectators with friends and family having a grandstand view!
