A permanent way to show you care.

This is a different way of raising money for the Hospice, Eclipse Tattoo artists are tattooing as many cancer ribbons as possible in 24 hours.
In response to a growing number of people that are requesting tattoos in memory of someone, Danny & Shelly Stevens thought they could help raise vital funds for Cancer Research and local hospice care.

The Mayor of Havant invites owners of pre-1989 vehicles: cars,  motor cycles, lorries, to take part in her Classic Vehicle Run to raise funds for her chosen  charities, including The Rowans Hospice. 
Registration from 8.45am to 9.45am with vehicles flagged off around 10.00am. The finish will be at Fort Purbrook. There will be musical entertainment by The Stokes Bay Strummers Ukulele Group.

Fly like a bird!

Skydive! A breathtaking 2 mile high parachute jump: jumping 10,000 ft in tandem with an instructor, you will freefall 5,000ft reaching 120mph and then as your parachute opens you will experience a tranquil ride back to the drop zone!
Divers must be 16 years and over and under 16 stone.

Cost of Registration £225, which includes training and equipment, you are asked to raise a minumum sponsorship of £200 making £425 in total.
The event is also planned for 5th September.

Two days of fun at the Dragon Boat Festival.

Organised  by Portsmouth and Southsea Rotary Clubs this exciting Dragon Boat Festival over two days is now an annual established event. Proceeds go towards the charities supported by Rotary including The Rowans Hospice. 
Teams must comprise of 16 paddlers plus a drummer and three reserves. 
There will be a series of heats resulting in a final with awards.

Join our Guinness World Record Holder, Doris Long, to abseil down Portsmouth's landmark building.

Daredevils are wanted to take our Abseil Challenge to brave the 100m descent down the iconic Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth. This event will take place on both the 12th and 13th of July.
At the phenomenal age of 101, Doris hopes to break her own Guinness World Record and raise vital funds for the work of The Rowans Hospice.
We have just 80 places available. Over 18's only, open to all who are fit and under 21 stone. If any doubt as to your condition obtain a doctor's certificate. 
Registration costs £50 and you are asked to raise £200 sponsorship.

Take part in our Cycle California Challenge for 2015.

You will cycle from San Francisco to Los Angeles taking in the beautiful scenery of the west coast of the USA. Cycling 500 miles over 9 days with time to do some sightseeing, this is set to be an exciting challenge and a great way to see America.

The trip will cost £3,000 including a £1,000 donation to The Rowans Hospice. The cost covers your flights, bike transfer from England, transfers to and from the airport in the USA, accommodation for 13 nights including breakfast, a support team and vehicle, logistics and back up.

A great experience !

Run The Great South Run in aid of The Rowans Hospice. The fast and flat 10 mile route takes in the iconic sites of the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard including Portsmouth Cathedral, Spinnaker Tower and the HMS Victory- which has played host to the Band of HM Royal Marines, who often perform for passing runners at the iconic site. The final flat stretch along the sea front has given thousands of people the opportunity to get a personal best time for more than twenty years.

Every year the event attracts a plethora of athletes, celebrities and runners raising money for good causes, with over £30 million having been raised for charity over the years.

The Bupa Great South Run has grown into a great weekend of running in the popular seaside location, along with the Bupa Junior & Mini Great South Run and the Bupa Great South Run 5k.

If you would like to be on 'Team Rowans' in this year's event you can apply for one of our Bond places.
