A sponsored cycle ride with a choice of 18, 30 or 65 miles to either test yourself or have a lovely leisurely ride with your family and friends in support of the Hospice.
Our popular cycle ride is back this year with a new name - Rowans Ride! You will still have the opportunity to choose one of three routes and raise money for The Rowans Hospice. All three routes will start and finish at Lakeside North Harbour where you are welcome to meet up with friends and family, there will be food and drinks available to purchase. Everyone receives a medal on completion.

This year we are celebrating Hospice Care Week by raising awareness for hospice and palliative care around the world.

This very special event is a sponsored walk for children, accompanied by an adult.
Once again we are giving the children the chance to take part in their very own event in aid of Rowans Hospice, accompanied by an adult. Formerly known as Moonlit Memories Meander, the route of the Starlit Walk will take you into secret areas of the naval base and past HMS Victory which will look spectacular lit up at night. The children can choose whether to complete the 1.5-mile course or go on to do a second lap making it a 3-mile challenge.
Registration is £5 per child with a sponsorship target of £25. Each child will receive a medal and a hot drink and snack on completion.
This year, the optional fancy dress theme is wear something shiny, sparkly or bright!

A wonderful night!
The Rachel Griffin Ball to raise funds for The Rowans Hospice is an event not to be missed! Having dined there will be entertainment from The Mixtape and Discos 4 All.
Tickets at £50.00. A £15.00 deposit is required by 29th April, £17.50 payment with menus by 30th June and final payment of £17.50 by 30th September. Payments can be made by cash, cheques or BACS transfer.
Dress code will be DJ or suit and tie for the men and cocktail or evening dress for the ladies. Rooms available at the Club quoting the event.

Woofs & Wellies is a fun, Christmas-themed sponsored walk for all doggies around the stunning grounds of Stansted Park. Last year saw 250 dogs of all breeds and sizes walk alongside each other dressed in Christmas jumpers, Santa hats and festive decorations. Some of the humans dressed up too!
This year there will be two different routes; the first route is the same as last year and is approximately 3k, the second route, instead of walking the 3k route twice, there is a choice of a longer 6k route. You can decide which route you would like to do on the day.
All dogs taking part must be registered for the walk and are welcome to bring as many human companions with them as they like. Each dog will get a dog medal and doggy bag for taking part in the event.

Hike the Himalayas in Nepal and raise funds for The Rowans Hospice
The challenge is on to trek to Poon Hill (3,210m) in the stunning Annapurna region. The trek will take us through charming Nepalese villages where we will experience the culture of the mountain people of Nepal first hand. The challenge will be tough but the friendship and camaraderie along the way will be very special.

Our Abseil Challenge is open for 2017 due to popular demand! Abseil down the Emirates Spinnaker Tower on Saturday 8th or Sunday 9th July. To celebrate our 15th anniversary, 2017 will be the year of the super heroes! The dress code is optional but to us, you are all heroes for taking that brave step over the edge onto the side of the building to raise money for Rowans Hospice.
The 2016 challenge saw 73 people descend the 94m of the building over the weekend, and have currently raised almost £27,000 with money still coming in!
You can abseil at various times throughout the day in groups of up to 6 people so you can abseil with friends, family or colleagues! Day and time slots are booked on a first come first serve basis. Whether you want to descend as Superman, Wonder Woman or the Hulk, please be warned that your capes will have to be tied up or tucked in for your safety during the abseil.
Registration £50 with a target sponsorship of £200 - online registration.

Fly like a bird! On a day to suit YOU!
Help us raise funds by making an exhilarating 10,000 feet freefall tandem parachute jump!
Imagine, freefalling for 5,000 feet reaching speeds of 120 mph before opening your parachute for a 5 minute canopy ride taking in the stunning landscape before landing in front of spectators with friends and family having a grandstand view!
Divers must be 16 years and over and under 16 stone.
Cost of registration is £225, which includes training and equipment, and you are asked to raise a minimum of £200 sponsorship making a total of £425.
